Sienna Maeba’s collection, Hom(e)age, is just that, a way of paying homage to the home. By exploring the domestic spaces we occupy daily, and creating a process of layering, collecting, intertwining colours and images found in our homes, the possibilities of creating a narrative are vast. These personal elements are translated into illustrations and specific colour palettes that are curated into textile works that communicate a story. A story that opens up questions about how we feel in an intimate space, and challenges our feelings of freedom, personal identity, control and safety we are all seeking within the personal spaces we occupy day-to-day.
